The program was a vibrant tapestry of cultural performances, showcasing the rich heritage and talent of the Malayali community. The stage was ablaze with energy as members, along with renowned artists like Kalabhavan Nice and his team, Sechora Dance, Manchester Gems, and Delsey & Williams, enthralled the audience with their captivating performances. Udhyam marked a significant milestone for the Bristol Malayali Association, cementing its position as a vibrant hub for the community.

The Bristol Malayali Association’s Uthradapulari was a captivating celebration of Onam, a vibrant festival steeped in tradition. The event was a feast for the senses, with mesmerizing performances by members of the association and a mouthwatering Ona sadhya. The air was filled with the joyous melodies of traditional Onam songs, while the rhythmic beats of folk dances transported the audience to the heart of Kerala. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Ona sadhya, a sumptuous vegetarian feast served on banana leaves, showcasing the culinary heritage of Kerala. With each bite, attendees were transported to a world of flavours and aromas, savouring the authentic tastes of their homeland.Chendamelam and Chanda Violin fusion performed by BMA Beats.Mr Linson Theyophine lead the performances. This dynamic pair, known for their impeccable comedic timing and powerful vocal abilities, bring a unique and unforgettable experience to the stage. With a blend of hilarious sketches, catchy songs, and energetic dance numbers, NadirShow promises to leave audiences laughing and entertained from start to finish.
Bristol Malayali Association Hosts Landmark “Bristഓണം ” Celebration
On August 30, 2025, the Bristol Malayali Association proudly hosted its second annual Onam celebration, Bristഓണം. Solidifying its reputation as the largest Onam gathering in South West England, the event brought the community together for a day of rich tradition and cultural pride.
The festivities featured a grand Onasadya and an array of vibrant cultural performances. A highlight of the day was the “Mummy and Me” ramp walk, which delighted guests of all ages.
The success of the event was driven by the dedicated coordination of lead organiser Tijo Naduchira and his team, including Benny, Linson, Viji, and Joshma. The stunning cultural showcases especially the dance drama, Kaikottikali, Thiruvathira and classical dances are choreographed by Aparna Pavithran.
